DIY skin-tightening face masks
1. Carrot & orange mask
It is the best combination for skin which lacks firmness and needs rejuvenation. Both carrots and oranges contain antioxidants, beta carotene and vitamins which delay aging processes. For making the mask, you need a carrot, orange juice and a tablespoon of honey.
Wash the carrot well, cut it into pieces and mix with orange juice in a blender. Add the honey and apply the treatment to the whole face or just the parts covered by wrinkles. After around 15 minutes, rinse the mask using lukewarm water.
2. Tomato & lemon mask
Tomatoes and lemons contain vitamin C which fights off free radicals, reinforces the skin and prevents the appearance of wrinkles. These ingredients also have an ability to illuminate and nourish skin, as well as seal the walls of blood vessels. In order to make the treatment, prepare 2 tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
You must pour some boiling water over the tomatoes and peel them. Blend them with lemon juice. Add sugar and mix well. Apply the mask and leave on for around 15 mins; rinse using lukewarm water. Remember not to keep it on the skin too long because lemon might cause irritations.
3. Apple & melon mask
Melons have a tonifying, soothing and tightening effect. With other ingredients, the mask gets moisturising power. The examples of extra ingredients are: a few melon pieces, a half of an apple, two tablespoons of rolled oats, a tablespoon of honey. How to make the mask? Cut the fruit in small cubes, put in the blender and mix. Add the oats and honey – blend again. Apply the mask and keep it for around 20 minutes. Next, rinse it using lukewarm water.
